Loud Feelings?
When our feelings are loud, we are tempted to believe as fundamental truths what is biblically false.
Loud Feeling:
See you're all alone. Nobody cares. You are the rejected one.
Heart's Deception:
God is not with you. God does not care about you. God has forsaken you.
Loud Feeling:
This is terrifying. I'm so afraid. What if "worst case scenario" happens?
Heart's Deception:
I have cause to fear. God is powerless to protect me. His will for me is unsafe, therefore, He is untrustworthy.
Jeremiah 17 highlights the default error in our hearts: we were made to trust God, but we all instead choose to trust in our own flesh.
